About the Opportunity

WPSHC is currently looking for a permanent, full-time Pharmacy Assistant, reporting to the Clinical Manager. The main function of the Pharmacy Assistant is to provide support for Pharmacy Technicians by transporting medications and picking up prescriptions, pre-packaging, stock replenishment, filling prescriptions, and quality assurance activities including expiry date checking, medication storage area inspections, audits, and gathering patient information.

More About You

To qualify for the role, you will need successful completion of a College-level Pharmacy Assistant program.You will also need to have:

• Successful completion of a College-level Pharmacy Assistant program;

• Demonstrated knowledge of drug terminology, controlled dosage systems and pharmacy

• related issues.

• Excellent organizational skills;

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills;

• Previous experience and demonstrated working knowledge of computers;

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as work independently with minimum supervision;

• Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history and positive work references;

• Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety.
