REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE

 

Temporary Full-Time Position (July 2026 until approximately March 2027) – 2 Positions

 

This is an internal job posting open only to members of OPSEU Local 320.

 

The hours of work are all shifts, including weekends.

Basic Requirements

  • Successful completion of an approved RPN program;
  • A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Completion of Medication Administration for R.P.N.’s, medical asepsis, catheterization and IV training/education, combined with previous experience utilizing these skills;
  • Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history and positive work references;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs;
  • Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Courses in Behaviour Approach (such as P.I.E.C.E.S, GPA or restorative);
  • Previous experience in Nursing Skills pertinent to Acute Care.

About Parry Sound

Parry Sound is a beautiful town, located on the shores of an inland “ocean”, Georgian Bay. The area boasts many beautiful beaches, parks and trails. It is ideally situated just off highway 400, in the Southermost part of Northern Ontario.
