About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic Community Giving and Engagement Intern to join our fast-paced and growing office located in the West Parry Sound Health Centre, Parry Sound, Ontario. Our organization currently has over 6,000 supporters throughout Canada/USA and annual revenues of approximately $4.5 million. This dynamic and critical role is responsible for inspiring our donors (both seasonal and full-time residents) to support local hospital care.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Community Giving and Engagement Intern will work closely with the entire Foundation team. This position will assist with special events and marketing activities of the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. The desire and ability to balance teamwork while achieving individual goals is essential.
More About the Opportunity
- Assists with the Foundation's special events, including Signature Events, Northern Angel events, third-party events, and others.
- Assists in maintaining distribution lists and keeping social media platforms up to date.
- Demonstrates the highest standards of customer and patient service for all internal and external interactions and customers.

Basic Qualifications:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
- Post-secondary courses in business or communications is an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
- Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle on a regular basis as needed.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate positive relationships.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task while providing consistent, high-quality work.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
