About the Opportunity

WPSHC is currently looking for a Departmental Assistant to join our Human Resources team of skilled professionals.  Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Departmental Assistant provides a variety of clerical and data management functions within the Human Resources department in the delivery of customer focused Human Resource services 

This is a Non-Union position. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

More About You

To qualify for the role, you will need to have a Business Administration Diploma or equivalent combination of education and or related experience. You will also need to have:

  • Minimum of three years administrative experience;
  • Education or experience in the field of Human Resources, an asset;
  • Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct correspondences and reports;
  • Previous experience retrieving, manipulating data and preparing database reports;
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time management skills;
  •  Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, and the ability to respond to difficult questions;
  • Good judgement, ability to work under pressure and can handle a fast-paced role;
  • Excellent understanding and commitment to confidentiality;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references;

About Parry Sound

Parry Sound is a beautiful town, located on the shores of an inland “ocean”, Georgian Bay. The area boasts many beautiful beaches, parks and trails. It is ideally situated just off highway 400, in the Southermost part of Northern Ontario.
