About the Opportunity

Applications are currently being accepted for a Resident Physiotherapist/Physiotherapist reporting to the Clinical Manager. The successful applicant will work as part of an interdisciplinary team with an in-house mentor to provide inpatient and outpatient assessment, consultation, and treatment services, enjoy the benefits of working in a newer facility, and experience a diverse caseload with a wide variety of established and evolving programs.  In addition, responsibilities will include but are not limited to establishing treatment goals, maintaining clinical and statistical records, conferring with physicians, patient teaching, and contributing to departmental strategic planning.

More About You

To qualify for the role, you must hold a current CPR basic rescuer certificate. You will also need to have:

  • Successful completion of a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy or equivalent;
  • Current license or eligibility for membership with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (Physiotherapist);
  • Current membership in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (Resident Physiotherapist);
  • Completed the written component of the Physiotherapy Competency Exam (Resident Physiotherapist);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload; 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

About Parry Sound

Parry Sound is a beautiful town, located on the shores of an inland “ocean”, Georgian Bay. The area boasts many beautiful beaches, parks and trails. It is ideally situated just off highway 400, in the Southermost part of Northern Ontario.
